HRH Princess Basma bint Talal, president of the Goodwill Campaign Higher Committee, on Saturday handed over aid from the campaign to productive enterprises run by women heading households at Al-Ibdaa Wal Tahadi Charity in the Amman neighborhood of Ashrafieh, and Al-Ayady Al-Mahera Charitable Association for Empowerment in Russeifa in Zarqa Governorate.
At Al-Ibdaa Wal Tahadi Charitable Association, the campaign provided support for clothing recycling enterprises, green roof planting, and a healthy food kitchen.
At the Al-Ayady Al-Mahera Charitable Association, Her Royal Highness handed aid to buy supplies and equipment for a home plumbing enterprise.
During a meeting with the women of the two charities, Her Highness expressed her pride in Jordanian women, their role in society, and their capacity to face challenges and turn them into opportunities, and rely on themselves to manage their families' affairs.
These projects and success stories, she pointed out, reflect Jordanian women's determination to take a leading role in society, acquire skills, and become self-reliant in improving their families' livelihoods and providing income through productive projects at the lowest cost, thus enhancing families' economic independence.
Her Highness praised the women's ambition to excel in these enterprises, sustain and develop them and explore new ideas.
