On 3 September 2026, the Princess Basma Community Development Centre in Ajloun launched the Ajloun Authenticity Forum for Local Products at the Ajloun Cable Car, giving women entrepreneurs and local producers a regular platform to market their goods and meet visitors.
The Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (Johud) launched the forum with the Jordan Free and Development Zones Group. It aims to support local production, strengthen women’s economic role, widen marketing opportunities and promote Ajloun’s heritage, farm and craft products.
Centre Director Mohammad Ghazou thanked the Group, through the Ajloun Cable Car Zone, for hosting the forum and giving women space to display and sell, and stressed the value of partnerships with Greater Ajloun Municipality and other local institutions.
He said the forum grew out of the Ajloun governorate development report the centre is preparing with the governorate and local partners, as part of Johud’s approach to working with communities.
Ajloun Development Zone Director Tariq Maayta said hosting the forum fits the cable car’s tourism and development role by supporting local producers and small businesses and linking tourism with the local economy.
